How Ants Get Into My Home
April 22, 2022Fire Ants In The Yard
April 22, 2022Summary:
In Texas, Acrobat Ants are a real problem. Adam takes us around the yard showing us how ants will use fences to travel and rotted wood for shelter. They also are known to use trees to get up to the house from the fence. If your company doesn’t know how to treat more than the ground pests you won’t be able to keep them out of your home.

Our common ant here in Texas is called the acrobat. Because the fence lines all touch every single house in the neighborhood is like a highway system touching every single house at least twice on each side of the house acrobat ants often times will use holes in fence posts often times old dry rot holes this is a perfect example of how ants here in Texas will thrive inside of a rotting fence post and migrate out to the various attached houses we’ve got ants moving now from the fence that we just looked at, to the tree moving along the limbs of the tree under the rain gutter of the house which often times has a lot of leaves in it decaying organic matter and other materials is great substance for ants to thrive on. The neat thing about acrobat ants that makes them so difficult to get rid of is they’ll often times climb on limbs across the sprays that pest control companies lay down on your foundation along the limb all the way to some place where the leaf or limb touches the house and they’ll set up camp in your gutters set up the entire colonies up in the gutters, up by your roof. You can spray all you want on the foundation won’t get rid of unless you have a pest control company that knows what to look for.
